My leopard gecko wont eat?

I have owned a female leopard gecko for nearly 2 months now, i brought her when she was 18 months old. She lives in a vivariumm with a heat bulb set at 27 degreesCelsiuss. She lives on sand for substrate and has a hide and a constantly well maintained water bowl. It seems i have done all i can to make a safe homely setting for her. However since i have had her she has eaten but ameaslyy 2 CRICKETS! Being honest, she looks and moves perfectly healthily but simply refuses to eat. Each night I put in a brown cricket at around 6pm. I have noticed sometimes that she approaches the cricket with stealth as if she is about to eat it but then turns away, on a more rare occasion she would actually take a leap at the cricket but misses. She then gives up and turns away. I could really use some advice please! Do i share this problem with anyone else? Am i doing something wrong?Thank youu for reading.

Help with my guinea pig issue?

Ireland. Mum very ill, psychriatic unit will not admit her..help.?

my mum is 69. Up until 2 months ago she drove her own car, attended day care facilities and took her medication. She was bright and alert and interested in things. I'm her only daughter. She is highly manipulative and i'm attending a psychologist for help in 'detaching' as i was feeling suicidal from her constant demands. She used to feel 100% it was my role to leave my partner and my life and 'look after her'. However 2 months ago i noticed a change. She would stare into space and is full of depression. My dad 70 (wtih heart problems, high blood pressure, atsma, vertigo and diabetes) is her main carer. We thought she wasnt taking her medication and that she needed review as she was depressed and having panic attacks and in a high anxieity state. Dad dealt with her like this for one month until eventually after turning up at A & E about 4 times and keeping dad awake all night, she was admitted. However wtih the cutbacks, her psychitarist basically said shes highly manipulaitve and just wants to be in a psychiriatc unit. Now her GP, psychriatic nurse and psychitarst is saying they wont do anything for her and 'certiainly wont admit her'. My dad is at breaking point and i'm constantly worried, i just cannot get on with my life. They psychiratist is saying the psychriatic unit is 'not the setting for her'. yet shes severely depressed adn pacing up and down. Shes currently in a private nurshing home this past 4 nights and the owners says that she is extremely agitated and they cannot understand why they wont admit her to the psycriatic unit. Everyone has washed their hands of her and the nursing home feels shes 'extremely vulnerable' and 'desperate'. Shes complaining of sweats and shakes and i feel her medication needs to be looked at. The psychitarist has basically said throw her in a nursing home, but shes too physically fit and young to go there at this stage. She was fine up to 7 weeks ago. Now she is afraid to be alone in the house. My dad is very stressed out with her. She needs proper mental help and have her medication sorted properly.. How can i help?

If your school is anything like mine they don't give near what the book is worth compared to what they resell it at in the first place. That is if it is in next to new condition. My school would take it for a much reduced price. So basically I would be giving them the book. After a semester ends I go to craigslist.com and go to books a post them there. Local students check there before starting their semester. I get a much fairer price that way and that is selling for about half of what the bookstore would sell a used one for.

Stargazing/Twirling "Disease?"?

It's me again, and I've been posting about my Zebra Finch who has been sick. She's already been taken to the vet and is currently on antibiotics. The vet said to bring her back in 2 weeks and it has only been 1 week. Although, I'm debating on taking her to the vet sooner due to some recent events. For the past couple of days, ever so often, my bird shakes her head back and forth quickly, in a bobble-head manner. I've done some research and it sounds alot like "Twirling/Stargazing." I was wondering if anyone had some more information on this or experienced this with their bird? Also, if you've read my other posts... you'd know that she has been refusing to drink the water with antibiotics in it, is it possible the bobble-head could be caused by dehydration?

If You Bought it at Best Buy I would take it to that store and insist on talking to the manager in a nice LOUD voice, Then the manufacturer of the phone , INSIST on talking to the head honcho, Next the Telephone service Co Sprint and INSIST on talking to the top person. GET NAMES AND DATES. If a person says they can't give out their name, Then ask for a supervisor get their name and just keep going to the TOP.The little guy who sold you the phone just lied to get his commission $$$. Please help me, I am so confused.?

I have been with the same girl for about 9 months now. She is a great girl but we have a really difficult situation. We were introduced by a girl we were both friends with. This girl and the girl's boyfriend were very good friends with my GF along with another girl (Ruby) . Originally I got along decently with the friends but the boyfriend and girlfriend in the group were very controlling and we ended up getting into a huge argument, the whole group other than my girlfriend ended up hating me. I made up with them for the sake of my girlfriend but right after that I found out they were talking trash about my girl and myself behind our backs. I even found out that they were trying to set my girlfriend up with another guy WHILE I was with her. I told her everything I knew and she defended me and spoke to them but they guilt her and basically she kept switching sides and finally ended up dumping me because of the whole thing. We got back together in which point I started to bond with Ruby (as a friend and nothing more). The group excluding my GF ousted Ruby and even tried to get my GF to do the same. Finally after enough drama my girlfriend decided not to talk to them anymore and neither of us talked to any of the ppl in the group other than Ruby. Recently my girlfriend decided to "talk" to them casually but not to let it go back to how it was before, being best friends with them and all the hanging out. Since then the boyfriend of the girl told Ruby that he cant talk to her anymore because his GF doesn't like her and all these other things when Ruby did nothing wrong to them. My girlfriend is in a habit of going on all day outings with the group (excluding Ruby obviously) including the guy they tried to get her to basically dump me for. Her next 2 weekends are devoted to their parties and I feel sick to my stomach and so hurt that she even started talking to them to begin with after all the things that they have put us through. Ruby agrees with me but wont complain to my GF because she doesn't feel like it is her position to comment. I have told my GF how I feel but she doesn't seem to understand and is really attached to them. I feel bad and I don't necessarily want her to stop talking to them completely but I am really hurt about her basically pretending nothing ever happened. I feel really hurt that she is hanging out with them and whenever I tell her it only causes conflict. My GF is an amazing girl and I love her but I don't know what to do. However, if it definitely WAS a Reader's Digest children's book, then it might have a title incorporating the likes of "Compendium of ..." or "Treasury of ..." or "World's Best ...". etc. So it might be an idea to search for it with keywords like that, plus "fairy tales", "children's", "stories" and so on. A crate! They work wonders. Both of my dogs ate everything when they were puppies, I started crating them when they were alone and it helped so much. I don't have to lock either of them in the crates now that they are older, but they still love the crates enough to sleep in them all the time(I just leave them open in the living room). If he tears up blankets in the bed, take them out for the few hours you are gone. It won't hurt him to sleep on the hard floor for a little while, and prevents him from tearing anything up.

Pure acoustics lord speaker set up help!!!?

I know on the back of each speaker there is only a spot for the 2 speaker wires. I also know that it is a powered subwoofer. I got the subwoofer connected directly to the tv and I can hear b i just dont know how to get the other speakers set up. Guy selling laptops outside of walmart illegally? read more please i need answers!?

okay so he came up to us and told us he had macbooks that they were brand new and he would sell 2 of them to use for 200 dollars. he showed us the real laptops on the car.. we told him we would give him the money for them so we went to PNC bank and got 100 dollars from there. then we went to kroger grocery store to get money from U.s bank but it turned out that my boyfriend didnt have money on the card then we went back to pnc bank to get the other 100 dollars. then we gave him the money and told him if we could go to our friends house to try out the laptops. he told us they were brand new and that it asnt neccesary. so we said ok cause they were completely sealed and we failed for the trick. he then told us that our friend was calling cause he wanted a laptop too. then he drove quickly and left. we got in the car excited thinking we were going to get the mac books we always wanted. when we got home we opened the package which the laptops supposively came in and we figured out they had tricked us! inside the package there was 2 packs of paper. we were so dissapointed. this all happened about an hour ago. what im trying to ask is if i call the police an tell them about this would we get arrested for buying something that is illegal? cause the guy told us he was selling it for 200 that they were really 3000 at best buy and that his gf was the manager at best buy and that she had supposively got them from there at a cheap price and now they were re selling it. they also caught him on the camera on PNC bank and krogers grovery store. would we get in trouble too if we call the cops? please answer !!!!! i need hel immediately!

So the situation gets weirder ... now what?

Okay so I've been throwing this situation around on this forum all week and I've taken most of the advice given here, it's actually worked pretty well. I have another question regarding the situation, but I'll recap it so anyone new reading understands. I have a female friend who decided to come on pretty strong to me in a really inappropriate manner. My boyfriend was home at the time but was on his way out. After he left she got a little physical (I was in the shower and was unaware that he had let her in the house), he came back in because he forgot his wallet and misinterpreted the situation. He has since calmed down and we are talking, however I have tried to explain to this girl that her actions not the actions of a friend, but of someone who has no boundaries. She says that I am partly responsible because when we all go out, I am equally flirtatious with her. What I tried explaining then was that in gay clubs, it's common and expected for women and gay men to flirt. It's 'safe flirting' with zero expectation and then I said I was sorry if I led her on. I don't think I did though, I've never had a problem with any other female friend. But I feel bad because she's pretty insistent that I led her on ... plus, even though she crossed the line, I have lost what I thought was a really great friend. So should I try to salvage the friendship at all? Maybe after some time has ped?

My 7th grade year wasn't really good, it was really depressing. I've always been a shy, quiet, insecure person. I'm not a nerd, geek, or dork, but I'm not exactly that popular everyone-likes-me-and-wants-to-be-like-j… type of person either. Clear dot on eye (cornea)? feels like a grain of sand but isn't?

I have had recurrent foreign body sensation in my right eye. Went to doc... prescribed antibiotics (tobramycin with steroid). This may have temporarilty helped however the sensation has returned. Upon close examination, I see this clear dot on my cornea. I also noticed some gunk on my cornea and was able to remove most of this. I'm gonna try to schedule a doctor's appointment tomorrow.

i had my gallbladder taken out last tuesday 2/19/08 i week ago today. i was given vicatin for pain but it made me feel soooo weird so i stopped taking it and just took regular over the counter motrin. i am having what i call "panic attacks" because i feel like sometimes i am very short of breath and start panicing then get lightheaded. i think i am freaking my self out. just wondering if anyone knew if it could still be the anesthisia(however you spell it)i have to take half a xanex to calm myself down. i don't like taking medicine at all so i think that is part of my problem also. i have my followup with surgeon tomorrow and i will see what he has to say but just curious of what info others have.

i wouldn't agree one or the other. sometimes it just works out better for that person. it doesn't work for everybody and when it doesn't you can tell. but sometimes they do such a good job you can't tell.

24 and I feel like I'm going through menopause?

The past 2 years I have been unbearably hot in most situations, times when everyone around me is freezing and I'm sweating. I HATE being hot so this is very uncomfortable for me. Around the same time I started gaining weight, although I've never had a great diet. I went from 135 to 170, it took me 6 months to lose 20 of that. 6 months later I have gained it all back. I also rarely get my period, once every 3 or 4 months. I have told my doctors about this but they don't seem to think that its anything, but its driving me crazy. How would I get a job being a special effects sound person. Im thinking about suing my mothers homeowners insurance for personal injury/neglect pertaining to the aul abuse that happened to me in the house as a small child over the period of serveral years, but im having second thoughts. When she moved the husband into her home he was already a convicted offender and i was about 5 years old at the time i think. She lied to my dad when she moved him in, not telling him about his prior convictions. He has already confessed to the abuse when i came out about it and has been charged accordingly. There was also a civil suit in which we sued him for personal damages and was awarded the most money possible. I already have one of the best attorneys in the state who said he would take on the case on a contingency, but im not even sure as to how much money were talking. I recently moved to a new city, and I've been here about 6 months. When I moved I broke up with my girlfriend. I was completely in love with her, we lived together, and we spent a lot of time together. If the breakup wasn't devastating enough, I moved to a city with very few people my age. I've been having a terrible time making new friends. I work in a small business with a married couple and one girl near my age. She is married and rarely is interested in hanging out outside of work. I spend everyday in a cubicle at work, and my work is so uninteresting. I've really tried to get out and make friends. I take my dog to the dog park nearly every day and try to talk to people there. I am taking a dog training cl, but no one there is near my age. I'm going to be taking another cl at the community college at the end of the month. I feel like I'm really trying, but I'm getting nowhere! I have no close friends, my job is miserable, and I live in a really uninteresting place. I feel like I've really been trying to make the most of this for the last six months, but I just don't know what to do anymore. The worst part is that I have no one to talk to about this. Napster unlimited download?

I'm trying to decide between napster and rhapsody. I want to be able to DOWNLOAD unlimited amount of songs. Not stream but download. i thought napster could do this but i can only find a 5$ monthly subscription that does not give you unlimited download. rhapsody can download unlimited songs but it doesn't work with the ipod and it has fewer songs. most developed countries have a 12 year school system, plus kindergarten, pre-k, that adds on 2 years at the begining, so many or most students have 13 or 14 years if you add pre-k. IMHO the european system is better than the US system. In europe they have about 8 years of basic education then students are divided into 2 main groups in the final years of school. one group is college preparatory courses, with heavy emphasis on mathematics, science, literature, history etc. while the other group places emphasis on more practical job skills, which qualify the student for good paying jobs after graduation, such as mechanic, cooks, clerical, computer techs, etc. In the USA most students get a similar college preparatory type education, and many of these students do not enroll or thrive in college, and are instead left unemployed because they have few useful skills, much of thier education is wasted. silly really, it has something to do with a USA obsession with 'equal education' and trying to force all the kids to take courses that are only suited for a minority of the more academic types, this results in poor academic performance and high drop out rates.

Music File Playback Problem?

I have WinAmp installed for music playback which has NEVER been a problem. For some reason known only perhaps to Bill Gates and his cronies when I double click a music file now NOTHING happens. Changing ociation doesn't help. I have to do an Open With.. function which then works. What gives?

My iphone 4 has broken gl front and back from a 4 foot drop :P and better yet, the sleep on broke! But thank goodness it still worked. So i did research on how to fix it, and i just dont have the money, so i did more reasearch and found out if you jailbroke it, you could toggle the settings and find an activation method to use sleep mode, so i went to jailbreakme.com on my iphone, and it started to jailbreak, and i noticed the icon would disapear and i tryed over and over again, till i got the bright idea to hold down the home on and reboot it! Turns out, STUPID IDEA! Everytime i try to turn it back on with the charger the apple comes up, and dissapears and does it over again.
